You can't put NYC weather in any pattern before week 1-2 of January. It's just all over the place, always. I remember being outside in a t shirt more than a few times on Christmas. Yea we set a record, I was out in shorts and crocks this year.

But Dr Claire Parkinson, a senior scientist at Nasa’s Goddard Space Flight Centre, says increasing Antarctic ice does not contradict the general warming trend. Overall the Earth is losing sea ice at a rate of 35,000 sq km per year (13,514 sq miles).

“Not every location on the Earth is having the same responses to climate changes. The fact that ice in one part of the world is doing one thing and in another part ice is doing another is not surprising. The Earth is large and as the climate changes it is normal to see different things going on,” says Parkinson.

"Professor Ewert’s findings seem to show NASA has intentionally and systematically rigged the official government record of global temperatures to show recent global warming where none would exist without the upwards ‘revisions.’"

Excerpt:

In a new report, computer expert E. Michael Smith and Certified Consulting Meteorologist Joseph D'Aleo discovered extensive manipulation of the temperature data by the U.S. Government's two primary climate centers: the National Climate Data Center (NCDC) in Ashville, North Carolina and the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) at Columbia University in New York City. Smith and D'Aleo accuse these centers of manipulating temperature data to give the appearance of warmer temperatures than actually occurred by trimming the number and location of weather observation stations."

I think there's an argument for both sides of the coin when it comes to the environment. I just wish the one side would push harder for education and conservation instead of
OH MY GOD, WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE TOMORROW! THE POLAR CAPS ARE MELTINnnnnngg

This planet has gone through natural catastrophes bigger than you or I, or anyone else on this forum can ever imagine. It's still here, it's still rotating and will be here long after we've all turned to worm dirt and the only thing frolicking about is the New York cockroaches that hunkered down for a long winters nap.

Why New York? There's cockroaches everywhere, right?

But all kidding aside, you have to wonder about all the societies before us, and how far they got technology wise, before they met their demise. Stop and think, were pretty dangerous to ourselves. Yes the earths axis won't waiver- house always wins.

It's a kids/ grandkids movie, but did anyone ever see "WALL-E"? I consider it a post apocalyptic propaganda movie to make you think or even suggest what could happen in the future.

We can end all the discussion right here and now. Snowball needs to answer 3 questions. 1st, why is it called Greenland? 2nd, what was the primary export of Greenland after the Vikings settled there? 3rd,What is there primary export today?

I have a better question, who are the "pawns" of the corporations that do not want to pay to clean up the mess they make and have made in the past?

Chicago cockroach better?

Those before us didn't have the advancements we have, but somehow they succumbed. I'm guessing giant natural disasters and shifts in climate

This is what I meant when I said education and conservation. I still have a young child in the house and see lot's of environmental messages in the movies she/we watch. I'm okay with most of those messages.

As usual. Avoid hard questions at all cost. We all know the answers but they don't fit your narrative, do they? I'd think you would be angry with these global warming money grabbers hanging folks like you out to dry while they walk away with their pockets overflowing. But noooo! Thank you sir , may I have another? The only thing worse than them are the willfully blind shills that propagate their swill.
