I've managed to misplace four of them, and I haven't been able to find which size I need to replace them. These are the screws that attach the sensor to the top of the intake manifold. This is on a 2003 3500, 5.9. All stock. I can pick up some replacements at the local heavy-duty hardware store. I am 100% confident the missing screws will turn up after the truck is back together and running.

Thanks in advance for any help...

I have a 04, and I can't think of what you're talking about, but I am at work. Got a tap and die set. Find one that will thread into it, then you'll know what thread pitch/size it is. I believe they are metric

Provide either the complete truck vin or the engine serial number. I can probably give you the size...

OK

The number I use on Quickserve is 56965133.

I haven't got a metric tap set yet. I am buying a milling machine today, so the tap sets and all the other et cetras are sure to follow...

Thanks!

I see the Intake Temp sensor that take 2 screws. Maybe I'm not following which sensor you are working with. Your not talking about the four that hold the fuel rail on are you??

OK, looks like Metric Socket Head M4 X 0.7 X 16.

Item 11????

mwilson,

THANK YOU for your response. My Cummins Quickserve doesn't allow me direct access to the page you posted, so I tried the part number in the "Search Parts Catalog" field and the entire exploded view showed up. Maybe it's a browser issue.

I think once the owner sees the screws he will understand why no other fasteners will do.
I'll just stop at the local heavy-duty hardware store and pick up four of those later today. Once the engine is running, it is a sure thing that all four of the misplaced screws will come out of hiding.

Thanks again!
