Don't know about Moss, but I'm going to revisit Browning and I'm going to check out Glendora Dodge, I have to take care of my 3500 as well.

Had Bad luck with the dealer down in Ontario for our VW they screwed it up and just keep running me up down the hill 9 times in 6 month's .The Local Dealer Victorville Motor's for Dodge has been pretty good so far . Never a bad Issue with them So Far.

I know some of the techs there that were Frahm dodge employees. There are some good techs, but it's a ways for me to drive. Browning sales staff has declined since they fired some top sales staff. The old fleet manager was awesome and knew his shet, but was fired when Browning took over. The new fleet manager tried to push his lot vehicles when I was looking for my 2014, claiming a 2500 with a service bed was to heavy equipped with the CTD. He claimed no Diesels came up in a search when I knew the 2500 we bought was sitting at Ontario Chrysler. Service I'm not sure about, as far as the service writers. It's been awhile since I've gone there for service.

Is moss any better............

NO absolutely NOT!!!!!

I took my Dodge in to Moss in San Berdo to get a simple transmission service, I had been towing and didn't have time to do it myself & to be honest I was a little nervous about messing with the trans after reading about the 48 RE, after all its not a Turbo 350 or 400.

I met the wife at Moss after work and was going to leave it overnight for them to work on in the AM. We no sooner got home and they called saying that the truck was done and ready. My first thought that the Mechanic must have asbestos hands that truck had been driven from LA to San Berdo it had to be a tad warm.

At work we had a lab rat that ran tests on oil and whatever really. I had pulled a trans fluid sample just to see what might be floating around in there. When I drove it after the service there was one of the shifts that felt like it didn't want to fully drop into gear. I got underneath and was looking around and found that the mechanic was so good that he had even replace the road grime on the transmission pan, I took another oil sample and took it to the lab rat. He asked me if I had made a mistake his instruments said that it was the same oil that he had tested before.

I went back to Moss and they informed me that the trans would need to be rebuilt. I told them that its NOT GOING TO HAPPEN HERE!! I had them look to see how nicely the wrench had replaced the road grime. There is an adjustment to one of the bands that can be made from the outside of the trans, that was the one that was having a problem shifting. I was asked what the big deal was? well let me see I bring it in for a trans service that YOU DIDN'T DO AND CHARGED ME FOR and even though the warranty will cover the rebuild WHAT ELSE ARE YOU GOING TO " F " up in the process. They said that the service was done, until I showed them the oil sample slips, BE DAMNED THEY ARE IDENTICAL. I said that we'll let the attorneys & Dodge hash this one out.

We had no sooner got home when Dodge called and asked if we had a preference as to where we wanted the transmission rebuilt and that our service charge was credited back to our account. They sent a tow truck to take it to FRAM ??? (spelling?) in Norco where I bought the truck in the first place.

Yea.......I was kind of kidding about Moss.I have heard many horror stories from their stores.I have talked to the svc mgr at moss Riverside, sorry no way lol

I don't know if this place is still around, things change so fast anymore but I did find the website.

This guy is REALLY good, ask for JR he's the owner along with I think its his sister that runs the office. JR still bends wrenches on things himself, although he has several other VERY competent wrenches. I don't know about his prices, I never worried about it he has to be in the ball park or he wouldn't have been in business as long as he has. But when the auto came out of the shop you can bet that it was DONE RIGHT.

The transmission guy that rebuilt your trasmission at Frahm Dodge (proper spelling) ;) is real good, hopefully it went well, or I'll have to give him a hard time next time we talk. I like the techs there, but the prices and service hours are not as good.

UPDATE: I got a Call at 9:30 last night, waking me up (I said it was OK to call me late) and told me that the ECM was replaced and I could come down and get it. (Their open til Midnight) Then !5 minutes later, I get another call, just as I got back to sleep, that the test drive didnt go well and that they were back to the drawing board as to the problem.

Bob4x4, What is your opinion about this, and how should I aproach this. I'm so pizzed off now, that I'm ready to start chewing ash down at the Dealer. But I don't want them to play hard ball with me. Do you know of a Customer service number (you can PM it) that will get me past the robotic phone service.

I don't understand why you would recommend a transmission place for an electrical problem, but are you referring to my G56 on the 3500 C&C? I have talked to them, and they won't touch it because its not stock and they wouldn't convert it to a SMF when I was going with the SB SMF DDS 3250 clutch. But you are right about their abilities, and I was disappointed that they wouldn't do it. They serviced my 94 2500 gasser, and rebuilt a POC Ford Taurus Wagon transmission we inherited with only 35K miles. They are honest, reliable and do excellent work.

They do LOTS more than Transmissions!!

Last I heard Ontario has a field engineer from corporate in house. I would ask if he has gotten involved with your truck yet.

Yes they do, but under warranty vrs cost is a issue as well as its not their expertise, they know lots about transmission that's for sure. As I said, I was disappointed they wouldn't work on my G56.

Latest is, they have a check list from FCA to perform, so I now have a rental truck it's probably going to be a few more days. If I have any luck, it's done tonight and I return the rental.

OK, it's fixed, for now anyway. Here's a picture of the process. Bob4x4, any opinion on it?

Looks like they took out the fuse but kept replacing parts till they found it. One of our lubies took out the fuse the same way but only the fuse was replaced. He was smart enough to ask for help

If anything good could be found out of this bad situation, is I went looking for eye candy while waiting See pic, I now own this Tacoma 4X4 TRD Off-road truck for Grocery getting and fun when in Parker AZ. I got lucky with this version like when I ran into my 04.5 2500 in sig, I'm told they can't keep them on the lots. I found it being assembled in the Garage right off the truck.

All I've ever had to do with my wife's 2008 Toyota Highlander Limited is routine service, 1 set of tires and a battery. That's it - nothing else. Still on the original brakes at 60K miles.

5 different Toyota's since 2000, and only one problem with a 2010 RAV4 radio that was covered under the extended warranty. But unlike the Dodge Dealer in this thread, they went above and beyond what was required. One phone call without even looking at the vehicle, they ordered the radio and called me when it came in. I don't know if all Toyota dealers are like this, but my Dealer, IMHO is the best with customer service, mechanics, sales staff, and finance.
