When I purchased the truck shown in my signature a week ago in Alabama, I had the dealer swap the OEM Nexxen tires for the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires I had recently installed on my 2011 that I traded in. All went well on my drive back to Texas that covered 500 miles. I checked tire pressures prior to hitching up the RV for a trip and found the dealer only had 60 psi front and rear, so I *set tire pressure to 80 front and 70 rear (the door jamb sticker calls for 80 and 65 psi). Again, all was okay for the tow up to our destination. Yesterday, though, I started getting a "Service Tire Pressure System" message in the EVIC that will come on at every start and go off after 5 seconds or so. Can anyone shed some insight into what might be going on here?*

Rusty i can't advise you on your problem but I did the same at 200 miles went to the MS2's. I run 80psi ALL the time front. Rear solo 35 and towing with 5,500# pin 65.

i highly advise you get the front end aligned and instead mom the 1/4 toe have them set it to 1/32. If you don't you will experience outside tire wear. Been there, done that!!!

There is a TSB out to replace all of the tire sensors. I had one give me a warning on our first outing. It has not acted up sense, but my service manager told me about the TSB and said they will do mine when I bring it for service.

That's good to know. I'll have my dealer check it out when we get back. The other factor I forgot to mention is that I use a TST 507 TPMS, so I guess there's a remote chance that the sensor signals could be interfering with each other.*

On Edit: Pardon the asterisks. I'm posting this from my Samsung Galaxy S4, and the new format seems to add asterisks at random.*

It's not actually a TSB to replace the sensors, it was called an RRT. It was done on mine and it's RRT 15-020. The symptom was once in awhile a tire would read 10# low but read OK on a tire gauge. The next day the tire would read OK again.

I never got any kind of service light on the dash. It doesn't sound like your problem.

Now the message has disappeared - it's no longer there when I start the truck. Go figger, I guess....

Here's something that's even stranger. I just went to the Mopar Owner Connect website and looked under the optional equipment for my truck. One of the options was Tire Pressure Monitoring System Delete. :--)

the rrt does not apply to the '16.The 3500 system is not quite the same as the 2500 when it comes to warnings and such
