So I bought a new TDR grille badge, but the threaded rod on back is too short to fit the Bighorn grille. I thought about drilling the plastic and attaching it that way, but I'm not ready to drill holes yet. How have you guys with Bighorns or Trademan's mounted your badges?

See if Ace or someone has a coupler nut.

2013 Tradesman grille badge.

It was a barely fit on mine. The nut is barely screwed on. I didn't know they changed the grill. Or maybe Genos shortened the back bolt?

Thanks Newsa for the pic. I knew the Laramie grill was more of a flat screen but wasn't sure about the Tradesman. The Bighorn grill is louvered, but the TDR badge doesn't have a long enough stud to reach the back to fasten the nut. I might try Snokings' idea.

If you can't find the coupler at the local big box/hardware stores, you can weld or solder a couple of the proper sized nuts together for an extension.

Reminds me that I need to get a new one. I took mine off my 2nd gen before I sold it but decided it was too "old" and worn out looking to put on my new truck last year. So I am running sans TDR grille.
