2000 Ford Excursion......things to do or change?

Was having lunch at Costco and a tow truck owner asked to join me.

As I understand the law is to make you "whole" not better than.......Every case I have heard about the owner pays for the miles driven and any physical damage or shortages

It has been 12 years since I Lemon Lawed that Chevy. I think the per mile charge was set forth by the state Lemon Law. Of course, that truck had spent a good portion of the year I owned it in the shop, so the miles were quite low. I wish I could remember the cost per mile for you. I had put wheels and tires on it, so I lost out on those also. Lemon Law was not easy, and the attorney told me I had one of the most cut-and-dried cases he had ever seen, and I had good documentation, and kept a call log of my dealings with the dealership, and GM.

Well news is good, finally got my jeep fixed . They put a new rear drive unit in it and it still didn't work, they got to checking the wiring connections and lo and behold the connector was not plugged in all the way, God Bless

What an ordeal! So glad to hear you can put this behind you. So the rear drive unit solved it but the install(connection)was botched, or the connection was bad right along?

Glad they got it repaired. It is really frustrating sitting here waiting for the dealer to get involved and check everything the way they are supposed to. Wiring and connectors is the very first thing they should have checked. When they told STAR they had, that is usually when STAR has them start throwing parts at it.
