I placed some double sided 3m automotive tape on the back 3 strips to cover enough of the grille bars to hold it in place till the back washer and nut are tight.

I also placed a nylon locking nut on top of the nut that was supplied and added a lock washer between the nut/washer.

The threaded stud on the badge is about 2" long and has enough length for the 2016 grille. I did mount it during the install of the bumper plug, condenser screen and quick disconnect for the grille which made it easier!

Those of us with Bighorn or Limited grills, the mounting stud on the TDR badge isn't long enough.

I like the idea about adding something for cushion.

Glad they brought the badge back. What difference does it make top or bottom? Just display it. make it known that you belong. I'm still using mine from a long time ago, the original ones.

I have a grill guard and so there is more room for visability on the bottom. So what is the wisdom of proper placement? Sklng,I get your Humor

How did you get chrome mirrors on a Tradesman?

To be honest, I installed mine without removing the grill, so where it is I could reach it. It was a bit of a hastle however, but not as much as removing the grill.. SNOKING
