Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) NOS Made in USA lift pumps?

Has anyone used a Genuine Cummins NOS lift pump mfg'd in 2002? There are some of these out there made in USA, only question I have on that is, the seals in the check valves and of course O'ring seals if they have shrunk or degraded after 14 yrs of drive compression?

Given its 14 yrs later since time of mfg and rubber seals were new, this crossed my mind. I've had an inclination to pick one up for good measure.

Anyone have experience with NOS parts containing compressed no fuel exposure seals / orings?

I wouldnt have a problem putting one on my truck.
I like to stay away from offshore parts if at all possible.
Where are these available and how much $$$?

Here they are - i bought one.

I guess my perspective is the orings are replaceable, check valves - well thats a polymer disc i think rather than rubber.

And it the pump has not been exposed to fuel the orings would not have absorbed fuel and swell 20% then take a set in the fuel absorbed condition. So if they have taken a set, which i'm sure they have to some degree, they should still swell to some degree with exposure to fuel, so maybe ok even at this long of assembly.

But if other have experience it would shed light on necessity to change orings right off the bat.

I've heard the Carters arent the best.
Not first hand experience, just here-say.
I'd still tend to get one of these over an offshore part never the less.
Most offshore parts show bad edges in castings & molds. I think I'd be more concerned over things like that.

Does the 'bad edges" still apply to the genuine cummins lift pump that is made in China?

The original lift pump on my 95 was a Carter (made in England) - is the current "sold by Cummins" lift pump a Carter that is now made in China?

idk if theyre now made in china, (they may very well be, and probably are) but a LOT of parts I've seen out of china look like amateurs did it.
I've gotten rubber replacement plunger covers with 1/4" of slag where the molds come together. Some of the cast parts look similar.
I'm sure Cummins does their part in QC to keep parts where they should be. A chinee knock off....meh...not so much.
To sum things up, I'd be happy for a 15 yr old american made NOS part. I'd run it w/o question.
That's just me.
