DEF/Diesel, one hose at the pump?

I fuelled up at a truck stop in Casper Wyo. last week and worried about contamination from the hose. How do the pumps drain the hose after use? The pump has a choice of DEF or Diesel but only one hose, what the heck?

DEF is in another hose inside an enclosure next(to the left) to the normal hose on the ones I have seen. SNOKING

Thanks for the info, I don't have a DEF truck but I should have realized the fuel hose was too large for the DEF opening. My excuse is, there were 4 of us traveling together that fueled there at the same time and none of us could figure out the system

Same thing here except it's to the right on the couple that I used.
