A vendor shipped a different kind of cocoa a little while back and the dairy would not use it.... no Chocolate Milk!!!!!

Panic in the streets until that got straightened out.....:{

If its not whole milk, I dont drink it. So, I think the only choc milk available for me anymore is whole milk and Hershey's syrup.

Whenever the dairy owner has the notion he will run a batch with whole milk...I have not had the pleasure but they claim it is incredible...It goes fast when it hits the stores...

The dairy also doesn't seem to care about shipping product downstate, people have tried to at least get him to ship to Bangor but no dice. So a lot of us play "milk and butter mule" when returning from the county....I have to bring some for the grandkids too...

I grew up surrounded by dairy farms and before the state put the kibosh to it, we used to dip a cup right in the mixing tank of ice cold raw milk. Man that was good.

Regular Chocolate Milk is very hard to find, and I don't drink low fat Chocolate Milk. There for awhile, I found quart size regular chocolate milk in the dairy section at Albertsons, that was creamy delicious. I purchased all the stock when I went in the store, so it would sell and they wouldn't have an excuse to drop it from inventory. One day the section was gone where it was stocked, so I asked about the status of it, and I was told they had never stocked what I described. My wife chimed in saying "hey that's not true, I would know this because I got yelled at if I didn't come home with any".**:-laf:-laf:-laf

OK, fair enough I just remember seeing quite a few border patrolmen when we were in Houlton, and that was pre-9/11. I guess the difference is we just rode through Limestone, but we stayed the night in Houlton and had breakfast at the TA(?) truckstop across the road. Fun times.

Mike may know as I am talking mid 70's but Limestone was a few buildings and a T in the road. I wonder if it has grown any since then ?. In those day's if you wanted to stay the night you would be sleeping on the road as I do not remember any modern conveniences like Hotels/Motels.

I seem to remember the trail followed a rail bed for miles on end through "badada" fields and every now and then what appeared to be a packing shed.

Didn't hurt my thread any...I'll read through it again in a few minutes, went to Beals Island last night and our friends had 4 hard shell lobsters for us...cooking them off right now with only one cup of coffee under my belt....could be bad....
