Had another post about wipers that took a xxxx. Put in the new switch the same problem exists but at least the wiper/turnsignal is shinny new!!

Next part throw came today. OH BOY

If I was more cellphone savy I'd put the picture of the New Wiper motor & linkage.

Its really a shame that the car companies just dont get it. I would have paid more for the 04 if they would have built a better truck that lasts longer than 100,000 miles or there abouts & use a Million mile motor.

I got an '05 that I need to reboot the wipers sometimes... radio too.
But the engine (5.7 hemi) runs strong and the transmission is fine @ 160k miles.

Looking forward to finding a '15 3500 ctd next year.

Chances are that the wiper points in the wiper motor are getting corroded and need to be cleaned. Fairly easy process to fix. I've done mine a few times, I finally replaced the motor assembly because it wore out

We use the wipers ALL THE TIME Winter for obvious reasons, Spring Bugs hatch and make a huge mess out of a windshield in short order. Summers arent much different execpt that the bugs on the window are cover with dust. Fall bugs continue with a rain or mist to make it look like your windshield is a Peter Max painting. So all things considered the wipers got a workout. But still they dont build things like the did!!

Well, did if finally fix the problem????

I haven't had much time cerb, pulling calves into the world has been pretty much my life for a month. In between that I've been installing a Central Boiler & pouring concrete. Some place in there I think I get to sleep.

There Cerb ARE YA HAPPY NOW???
you shamed me into fixing the wipers.

I think from now on that I will fix a problem by starting with the MOST EXPENSIVE parts and work down. It seems like Dodge has somehow built a product life expectancy into their autos.

Anyway im going to BS everyone by saying that I replaced the wiper motor/linkage in less time that it took to pop the bonnet. I did & suggest to anyone doing this to buy some new little plastic rivet type things, when the OE ones are removed they NEVER are right again. This is just me I cant stand for BS that isnt the way it was from the factory. I found them at the NAPA in town along with new Bosh blades they actually clean the windshield well enough that I can tell just how pitted it is & in need of replacement.

The new cars are designed for parts changers, back in the 70's we could buy repair parts for the wiper motors..........and warranties were only 12/12

I also remember when everything was serviced in pieces and they charged back repairs where you replaced the assembly.

All I can say is that it is not common here in so cal..........changed some for a recall maybe 1 with a problem

Granted not a problem in So Cal. Not complaining but how often do you really use your wipers? This year maybe they got a fair workout
