Ok, new here and have been reading my *** off on things I should know about these new Cummins engines and such.
I've been around big trucks and heavy equipment most of my life but this is my first 1-ton drw.

I just changed my fuel filters, nanny said it was time, and many thanks to all of the great write-ups here. Did it fairly mess free.
I didn't do my oil change / filter as the dealer did that before I picked up the truck (part of the deal).

When it came time to reset the fuel filter nanny, it didn't give me the option to just reset it, or I missed something.
Anyway, the option was "Reset All" and without really thinking, I did it. It appears this also reset my Oil Change nanny.

My question, did I miss something or is it supposed to reset both counters without a one or the other option?
I know my mileage when the next oil change is due but the counter reset to 100% anyway.

Thanks in advance,

Hippy

The resets are on different pages of the menu

Well, that would make sense and what "I" would have thought too but on the fuel filter life screen the only option to reset said "Reset All" and when I did that it took my oil life meter to 100% too.
Yes, I know they are different screens and because of the reset all, I actually toggled to the oil life screen to check.

Testing, is this page on? ;-P

Guess I'm the only one who ever had this happen as no one has come up with an explanation to what I did wrong.

My first post is no joke, exactly what I did and it did indeed reset BOTH nanny's.

Bunch of knowledgeable folks here, someone reply.

Has this happened more than once? Are you certain that you couldn't have inadvertently changed the screen and cleared the other too?

I have a 14 and when changing oil and filters the fuel and oil resets are on separate pages. You should reset them on the screen between the gauges

I have a tradesman and the screens are different. On my truck i go to the filter life screen and hit reset. That is it and it is very easy.

Honest, I was only on the Fuel Filter screen when I pushed the rest.
Just something in the back of my mind made me look at the Oil screen to see it reset too.

Completely understand but I never switched to the oil screen before resetting.
I've read all the posts, manual, help me's, etc and this really miff'd me.

Understand and agree. I've know both screens and was on the fuel filter screen when the rest was performed.
I wouldn't joke about this, it did reset BOTH nannies after hitting rest on the fuel filter screen.

I was only asking just in case there was something I did that hit some sort of master reset.

Not a biggie as I know my miles from the last oil change but I sure would like to figure out why.

Thanks y'all.
