My son has said the tail lights remind him of the cartoon characters that are either drunk or passed out with the "X" in place of their eyes

So, I drop my truck off this morning at 8AM to get T05 and T25 recalls completed. Had some medical tests(we had wife SUV to drive to these appointments) and we stopped back after 12 o'clock to see how progress was going. Truck was parked outside, so was it done or not started. I went in and asked. Head service written said the SCR had to cool before they could work on it! I said I drop it off at 8AM!!!! Say What???

Anyway I asked if it would be done today. He said maybe by 4:30 of 5. I said OK please give me a loaner or rental, as I have a Max Care Warranty. So I have a Jeep Renegade. No Hellcat was available. If it is not done by at 12:40 tomorrow they will have to pay for a second rental day. If it goes to Monday, then it will be 4 days of rental.

Hellcat gets same fuel mileage as your 3500, but weighs a ton less. Unloaded

It has the worst radio/speakers I have heard in years!

I found the the treble was turned way up and base was middle. Adjusted a bit and it was much Better.

Anyway, We picked the truck up Friday afternoon with both T05 and T25 completed. Fueled up and drove up to friends for the night and back today. Mileage seems to be better$$$$! Truck seems to run better. Placebo effect?????? SnoKing

Good morning, Snoking and all!

Cool! I hope it will work out. By the way, at 78,000 May 2016, I had this SCR and the System in front changed out. The dealership outside of Wash., DC where I'd broken down because of it said both were completely clogged and together the two components cost more than $5,200 adding that I was still under warranty. So now, at 165,000 miles, that SCR is replaced again. By next Spring, felony or not, I am ripping this Bull ***** out and doing whatever I have to do to have a real truck again. DId you all see that "DEF plug" that had come out of mine?. Here, I'll post it again

Thanks y'all. So looking like this is going to be an all day ordeal. Damn. I'm way past warranty so looks like a loaner is probably going to be out of the question. Did I mention my dealer sucks? <LOL> It appears they still have no idea when parts will be in and being a 2014, I'm probably not high on their list. Thanks again for posting the parts lists guys. I figured the service manager for the day that I talked to didn't know what was up.

Have him schedule the recall work and order the parts!

Oh I wish it was that easy. Not that I don't like the shop but the owners of this dealership are douchbags. The shop can't do anything without the owner OK'ing it. No lie. Supposed to have bad weather coming in this weekend so I'll start on them the weekend after.. MAYBE I can get something done.. Kills me, there is a supposed to be great dealership 200 miles east of us but that's way to much driving just to drop off and pick up. Might have to though.
Thanks for your input.

Yes it is a little crazy, I stopped by a local dealer (bought the truck out of state) and they scheduled the recalls and completed them (T05 and T25). Ron also has a 2015 and went to a dealer 20-25 miles away and got the run around.

Just picked up mine today and had the T05 done and two new u-joints on the front axle on extended warranty. I had "P249E closed loop reductant injection control at limit-flow too high" show up twice last week while on holidays and have had a handful of codes that were emissions related in the past year and a bit. Hope this helps that issue because I love the truck totally except for emissions idiot lights. The front u-joints are the first hard parts that have been replaced other than tires and shocks. Brake pads are still original, 122,000 km's on the truck.

P249E is the code I got in the middle of nowhere in Nevada back in the spring. Had to have the RAM dealer in Twin Falls just reset it as they were a week out from being able to work on it. Not sure the SCR recall it going to fix the P249E issue. Next time I will try to get a dealer to at least verify(open a case) it in their system before resetting it.

When travelling it is hard to stop for a week or two to have something fixed. We leave the end of September to the Balloon Fiesta in Alb, NM. SnoKing

Yea, down time in the summer for me is a serious problem during holiday season!! I"m only home for a week in between trips in July and August typically! I'm only home about 3 weeks out of the 8 weeks the kids have off. And most of the time I have things booked and reserved, so having a travel delay during a trip can't happen.

Hippy,

I don't think so. It's not in the list:

I also road tested the truck with the tech. I still have a very loud whistle/squeal when coasting with the engine brake (EB) on.

Funny am I just blind or is there no "Time in" / "time out" or a labor time listed anywhere here? Guess they don't want people know exactly how long this takes to replace. Been trying to get a hold of my shop manager to schedule but catching him in is not easy during my schedule. <LOL> Thanks again for posting this.

The labor time is not a secret, but with a busy shop it will still take time to work it's way into a stall.High demand recall parts in many cases can not be ordered and shipped on demand. There is a specific way of ordering an initial part{s}and from there the part must be billed properly, the paper work closed out before another will be shipped. Some dealers are not good at following the procedures correctly
