#ad

They are my highlights, One to three weeks, I don't think so $2,500 I might think about it. #1 could be any pile of crap low dollar roller skate they sell or another brand since the return letter is going to a private contractor in Ann Arbor mi . Anybody else get one just curious

If you lived in the area it sounds like a no brainer to me. Give it to them out of fuel and you get a wash, a full tank of fuel and $250. I'm pretty sure none of my neighbors have given me a loaner, fuel and wash and $250 when I let them use my truck.

I didn't buy a 2500 diesel PU to give up for up to 3 weeks to drive some pile of crap loaner that may not even be a truck! A wash and tank of fuel plus $250.00 isn't worth it for me. If I wanted to drive a pile I would have kept my 1998 ram pu. Would use the tank of fuel driving there and back.

They are giving a reasonable offer but there's no way I'd do it. I'm far too picky about who touches/drives my truck. This is FCA's problem, not yours.

Not sure why you automatically think you will get a POS for a rental car. Most major rental car companies only have cars that are the current or one model year old. I have rented dozens of cars when I was flying to LA every week and never drove one that wasn't in good condition. But based on the tone of your response if I were them I wouldn't want to deal with you either.

I agree with Sag2. Shoot I'll bite, having ATDS and Ram and Cummins field tech's take my truck, plus check for any codes and fix it right on the spot, and in return give me 1) Free carwash,2) 250 in cash,3) Loaner car with unlimited mileage if I could I would get a Chrysler 300 with leather...Shoot like the guy said in the movie Dr Strangelove "A guy could have a pretty good time in Vegas with this"

If I was close and had the time, I might go for it. I don't DD my truck. As an engineer it might be neat to check it out.

ATDS was up in Colorado this summer running emissions validation, and strangely so was Cummins...Spy photographers were all over this saying this was a freshing up of the front grille assembly for 2018.TFLTruck throught Cummins was up testing a redesigned emission system and a possible hp/torque increase...Well we now know it was a torque increase "class leading" and no new front grille redesign for this model production run.FCA has its plate full with the new Jeep JL series, and the Ram Rebel TRX,and the new Ram 1500...

A loaner doesn't mean rental, since they are a private contractor they probably have their own fleet of loaners, If you bought a PU. Why would you want to drive a car for up to 3 weeks. I use my truck Since it is still under warranty I take it to the dealer for codes. Unlimited mileage has no draw for me.

No need to have defend why you won't do it and no need to get agitated by the offer. You are under no obligation to accept the offer. Feel free to ignore it and move on.

No way would I do it. I am barely okay with letting anyone touch my truck to do warranty repairs. No way would I give it to some company for two or more weeks to "operate" it on a dyno under whatever they might consider to be "normal operating conditions". Not for a measly $250, that's for sure. By law they have to do this testing on a given number of customer-owned vehicles but one will not be mine. Maybe someone who wants to thoroughly abuse a loaner vehicle for two weeks might think it is worth it but I don't.

Maybe they would figure out the cruddy right-hand pull and fix it for me. That's worth the $250 to me in saved tires, alone.
