Spotted this nifty little rig holding things up on I-81 North as I was headed home yesterday. It has a euro plate and markings. I sure hope Ozy can help us learn a bit about this neat vehicle.

Hi Wayne

This is a BREMACH T-REX , an italian product from a tiny little manufacturer.
Many years ago i had one myself from the previous Serie, but the are poorly made and make a lot of problems, smaller and bigger.
So i sold it after arround 4 Years.

Check out this Thread i made for mine then.
http://www.viermalvier.de/ubbthreads.php/topics/15778/all.html lots of pictures.

They one you spotted is from Switzerland but i don't know the owners.

I urge folks to click on that link Ozy provided.
Ozy, that's some work you did at home (it looks) and in a shop. Was that a dump bodied truck you converted to a camping vehicle?

Yes it was a road maintenance vehicle from a small village in the alps, has seen a lot of road salt. Was worn pretty down when i bought it but was cheap.

Those are badass. I usually see 2-3 a year similar vehicles on their way up to the Sequoia National Park. I wonder what it costs to have something like that shipped over seas??

Around 2000$ one way from Hamburg/Germany to Halifax/Canada or Baltimore/US. Goes with an RoRo Car Carrier Ship that is full with New Cars.

So compared to a rental RV (that doesn't have the capabilities) it is pretty cheap, after around 3 weeks holiday we are on the plus-side. And you sleep in your own bed.
