A soldiers Christmas

Somthing I heard

I just posted; then I saw this thread. 53 inches here in Erie, PA yesterday and this morning. Just came in from the fourth shovelling shift of two hours. I don't know how much is in my yard, but I dug some "canyons" in the yard so the dogs can go. They are only medium sized dogs (roughly 50 lbs), but the snow is deeper than they are tall.

Well, I made it back home thankfully. Quite an eventful trip. Bucking/surging truck for probably 600 of the 800 miles. I think it is an FCA issue, or at least I hope so. I'm not looking at it until it is above 0 for sure. Just happy to be off of the road.

^^^ I think the weather hates Ca. Can't believe it's this dry after last years winter. I've got pipe fencing to weld up but I can't because the pastures are full of dry grass! FIRE!!

We made it all the way up to 16 today with snow. Weather Channel predicted total accumulation today of 2-4". 7" so far and counting.

Ha! We got some freeze dried dusting. Blew it away with the leaf blower. Vehicles n all.

We are up to ~10" at this point. I just went out and picked up our groceries and the roads are OK, but are drifting over in spots. The best part is that the National Weather Service decided to issue a Winter Storm Warning at 2:30 this afternoon. They waited until there was well over 8" on the ground. I'm not sure how they are supposed to work but I thought that you were supposed to get a weather warning BEFORE the storm started.
