Now I am in Blythe CA. and the check engine lite goes on so I went to auto zone to get the code . The code read sensor and they donot reset so I went to Larry green dodge in Blyth Two hours later and $100.00 they said I shut it down half way into a regen. I think that was BS Has anyone heard of such a thing ? 66K and never happened before.

Nope. If you shut down during a regen, it just resumes regen again after restarting and warming up.

Happens all the time. No code.

Yeah that’s BS I’ve shut mine down many times during an active regeneration never had any issues or codes. For them to Think that we would actually know where the region is going on and not shut the truck off is ridiculous and if it did it would be throwing codes to all of us all the time

Sounds like BS to me as well, however what was the code? When I started to throw codes on my 07 C&C in 08 after I put some miles on it, I purchased a Code reader. There are many on the market, but the one I bought and really like is the Kiwi WiFi II. You must also buy an App to use it on your phone or Pads and even some app capable auto radios. I chose Dash Command for my App on my iPhone 4 & 7 and iPad.

The $85.00 service charge (back in 09) was starting to add up, and it was allways related to a battery issue, which no recommendations were given. It turned out later, that my Batteries were weak and was causing the codes. With the complicated emissions, I didn't want to ignore the CEL's and paid for 3 different trips to my local Dealer. Thats when I chose the Kiwi wifi II, and have never paid for stupid CEL's since.

When coming here for advice on a cel it is best to have the actual code. Many codes have simple flash to repair that will be covered under the Cummins engine warranty

OK Bob 4x4 Code DTC P2201 The tec ststes vehicle was probably unable to finish a exhaust clean which set the light. Even the tec was guessing and no one knows when it regens.. Was that a fair price of $100.00 for guess work from a pro?????
