New transmission part or not?

Ok guys....to those who deal with new transmission parts and are aware what a used versus new parts looks like. Does this sun shell look
new or used?

This trans had the thrust washer between the rear planetary and sun shell blow out and was in pieces in the pan. Trying to confirm if this
was actually replaced or not...

What do you all think?

Ok so I assumed someone would have said they only have reman or aftermarket one's like an ultra lite.

I would say the part in the picture is a re-used part. What is inside it is the parts that wear out like clutches plates and discs I think. bg

Yes that would be a reman part as new is not available. I was questioning what was done to my trans over a year ago when I was told "new" parts were installed and I got to see first-hand in it. I was weighing out the price I was charged vs. what I was told was "new".

Got it.. if you look at the second picture I posted there is a pry mark on the sun shell. Hence my questioning of being told I had a new sun shell installed. Not possible- they don't have new stock sun shells... i posted that when I was a little niave beforehand not knowing then was finally told it was a reman.
