All right, a total thread resurrection on my part, but the thread derailed and the original question was never answered.
How long are all emissions systems (DPF, EGR, SCR and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) covered for?
There can only be one answer according to the Ram Factory Warranty PDF:
A) The bumper-to-bumper 3 year/36k miles
B) The Federal Emissions 5 year/50k miles (this specifically lists EGR and SCR but excludes DPF).
C) The Federal Emissions 8 year/80k miles (this vaguely lists all catalysts).
Which one is it?
Edit: PS, and no Repo, you're not getting 30mpg highway with your 3/4 ton pickup.[/QUOTE
Dpf s don’t normally fail on their own but rather something else in the system cause the issue.Sensors are a more common failure.Warranty coverage has become very easy to verify at the dealer. The labor op is entered in the system and an immediate response is provided. The days of dealers is long gone. You also left out the California emission coverage in your list of options
