Recovering My Old Account

Travel companion

I understand the need to upgrade forum software for security, etc.
That being said, the new format is difficult to read.
I think that is mostly due to the font of any post being the same size and color as that of the signatures and most all of the information surrounding the actual post text. I am hoping that there is some way TDR admin can fix this as soon as there is time.

Yep. When I put the cursor on the next post the previous post is in the background.
Logging on the face page says TDR error. Clicking on forums or new posts connects me in.
Maybe that's the way it's designed. The prior format was more intuitive for me.

Easier now? I contrasted signatures and put subtle borders around it and also the post content. Also decreased the signature font by 1pt.

I'm not sure I follow what you mean by logging on the face page?

THANKS...Definitely a little better...perhaps make the sig even smaller?? Or perhaps use a bolder font for the actual post and see if that works better???

I'll play around some more tonight and see if I can suggest anything else...something about the individual post window size compared to the posters name and avatar next to it also could change IMO.

Can't really decrease the signature font sizes, one of the complaints I received from several people was that fonts were too small. Signature font sizes are simply going to be one of those things where some folks wish they were smaller, others don't, because either way someone won't like it. :(

By that I mean simply using my screen shortcut.
It leads to a page that reads Turbo Diesel error. Page not found.
I then click onto the forums on the top and everything works as before.
I guess that's normal or am I missing something?

OK....No problem...you won't here me complaining about sig font size anymore.

That being said, what about making the post text font just a little bit bolder or bigger ??

I really like the new look and I'm good with most everything, EXCEPT, a few things are hard to read because the font is small and very light colored:

  • The forum name that the thread is in on the preview page that lists the threads
  • The post info at the bottom of each post which tells the poster's handle, date, and time
  • Any quotes
I can post images for examples if you wish.

Thanks,

I used t be able to hover the cursor over the title of a thread and it would show a few lines of the thread to give me an idea where the thread was going, can we have that back?

I run identical browsers (Google Chrome) on nearly identical laptops, one at home and the other at work. With being said the old shortcut worked on one BUT not on the other...so I had to create a new shortcut on that one. You probably need to do the same thing.

This didn't go away. Which browser are you using?

Things like old thread URLs and such will work. But login URLs, help urls, etc. do not.
