Well, this has been quite interesting but, back to my new truck. I like it. I'd mention I'm going through the breakin period and am not looking forward to towing 500 miles at 50 but that would bring out the "drive it like you stole it" and "those are just suggestions" crowd.

That 500 mile breakin , isn't it mostly for the gears ,and such ?? Thought I read somewhere the Cummins motor is already broke in ?

My understanding it is for the differential. The 3.73 differential. ;-)

After reading some of this thread, you had better break in those 3.73 real good, being at such a disadvantage

If a 3.73 can be broken in at 50 mph. A 3.42 should actually be broken in at 45.8 mph.

Most likely, boy did we mess up with these other gears, Oh!! and those short beds , but atleast you have a dually.
