Revive Turbo and Engine Cleaner

Isuzu swapped Ford F350

I'd be looking for a 4bt for that rig.

I've been keeping a lazy eye out for one.
Not really looking at the moment, but if one popped up and the price was right...
I don't know why but the 1.9 ALH motors used in the VW diesels are also appealing to me. Very light weight compared to a 4b and can easily be tuned to make more than adequate power for my use.

I don’t know the TDI codes and such, but I know they’re popular for conversions, and adapters and kits are out there. The nice thing here is most of that was figured out.

VW Diesel are prone to fail at low miles, 80K to 120K is a good Lifespan for them.
The newer the worse.
The cylinder plasma lining breaks down, then the engine is scrap metal.

80-120k? That's barely a timing belt change.
I've seen alot of ALH's on their 2nd and 3rd interval, mine included.
My oem clutch lasted north of 200k, even then the disc was still in good condition but the DMF failed. Boy was that a trip getting the flywheel bolts off!

They did have their fair share of fuel component failures when they went to common rail but I'd never go that new.

@Shadrach Maybe I have dirt on my glasses, but, this looks like a chain to me. Production prototype change from or to belts? One is bad enough, but, four!?

Lots of those little VW’s running around Alaska with 300k plus on the clock. Can’t be worse than a powerchoke.

What can be worse then a PS?
A Dong Feng?

I you are happy with it then go with it. It seem European Traffic is more demanding on the engine.
Go 120mph isn't so usual in Alaska compared to Germany, also pulling a 2Ton TravelTrailer behind I did not see in NA.

Yep Ozy, we have real trucks here to tow travel trailers. If we had speed limits like that over here.......half the country would be dead in a week or less. :D

Hi Don
In Europe Cars seldom grow older then 150K Miles.
Most go abroad to Africa at an Age of 120K Miles because it gets to expensive to get them DMV Checked, our checks are real tough to do.

First owner usually sell a car at shy 60K Miles, after that the value goes bottomless.
