40 mph whine

my truck whines at 40 to 45 mph,it quiets some after 45mph, noise goes away when you coast or take your foot off throttle

Differential; Pinion Bearing, probably the inner one.
The worn out Bearing makes the Gearing go out of spec and then it whines. A classic.

There was a TSB for that. Mine has always had it. S t e a l e r said they couldn't hear it. Oh well

This noise started about 7000 miles ago, Truck has 137000 miles. what kind of repair shop would do that repair

First you want to make sure from where it is coming from. If it is from the rear diff then a trans repair shop that also does differential work would be best.
