Just bought a 2001 to replace my 95 and have an issue with a bad electrical ground on the drivers side head light. The wiring diagram says G105 for the ground. Can anyone tell me where this ground connection is hiding as the book does not tell you.

Maybe this helps, if they kept the books consistent over the years.

I have a 96, I have the manual in PDF format. my lamp wire diagram is in section 8w-50, it is G102 for the ground on the LF head lamp.

Section 8w-90 lists the connector, splices and ground locations there is a table of grounds, g102 is listed near PDC, (power distribution center) and FIG3, if I go to FIG 3 it shows a picture of a bunch of grounds near the PDC.

5 years later maybe they stopped providing all this detail? But double check your index for the wiring section mine lists it in the WD index bottom right for the 8w-90 section.

Or skip towards the back of the wiring section as this is almost the end but has a bunch of details on physical harnesses amd locations the grounds are buried in the pics so need to play where is waldo a bit. Hidden in plain sight.

Or this is a complete waste for a 2001 book and sorry for that in advance.

I was using my 95 Manuel myself, thanks for getting back. Guess I will keep looking around the PDF and maybe pull the battery out if I can't find it.

Maybe it was G105 as well.

Got it....understood......here is the pic from the 96 book. I had one behind the PDC, but my truck was apart at one time and maybe they used the wrong hole.

In my 01 fsm it shows a g105 for all the gas engines on the front of the engine (engine ground) Doesn't show a G105 for diesel. The chart (pg 1092 in fsm) shows G107 (Diesel) Left Rear of Engine Ground, G115 (Diesel) Primary Battery Body Ground, G117 (Diesel) Auxiliary Battery Engine Ground, G118 (diesel) Primary Frame Ground, G120 (Diesel) Auxiliary Battery Body Ground.
