Daytime running lights.

My day time running lights stopped working, I had to unplug the module that controlled this feature, it also had the affect of no high beam indicator, this is a problem any suggestions on a fix. I have been told by some dealers that this module is no longer available to fix the problem. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The wiring for Canadian trucks (with DRL) and American trucks (without DRL) is the same. There is a jumper plug to enable the high beam indicator when there isn't a module.

According to my 2001 manual, on the DRL module connector, pin 6 is from the multi-funcition switch and pin 3 is to the headlight indicator lamp. A wire jumper should do the trick. Use a small wire guage or fused wire in case something goes wrong. (As an aside, the high beam indicator signal also drives the second high beam lamp in quad headlight setups. This lets one high beam lamp act as the DRL.)
