Extending a Happy Thanksgiving to the TDR online community!
I hope everyone has a safe and yummy day. I have had a trying year in my life, but I still recognize that I still have lots to be thankful for.
Today is the day to reflect on the up side.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

We have also had some misery in the past year but it could have been a lot worse!!
Looking forward to a better year and counting our blessings!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

We lost a close family friend of 35+ years to cancer last month and my buddy's wife was just diagnosed and is facing her surgery Jan 4th. Praying for her and their family.

My mother is still living here with us, coming up on year 9 battling dementia. If you would have told me 9 years ago when this started if she would still be here for Thanksgiving 2018, I would have never believed you. She had a very serious surgery in September but came through OK.

All in all, lots of stress in all of our lives. But I'm thankful for the lessons I'm learning in my life and the realization that the only thing that matters each day that we wake up is Love, understanding, and God's grace.

Most of you know what I have been going thru, but I am still here. The upside, I am a Grandpa with my Grandson being born and healthy in every way. We also just found out the Daughter is pregnant again (what else do you do in Minot ND). Looks like she will be due July, August so if all goes well we will be there as we were for the first. So with the downsides the upsides outweigh them. Happy Thanksgiving to all and I hope your downsides are few and far between. When ever you think things are bad there is always some that have it much worse.

My daughter, also in Minot, is due in April with my first grandchild. She and the son-in-law will be home next weekend to celebrate Christmas. I'll be going to Minot most likely in early May.

Congratulations. What is she doing in Minot may I ask ?. That should be the same time frame for us, may go see Glacier in Montana first then Minot.

Almost ND natives:D. My SIL is Air Force going on 8 years, first and only base. Both he and the daughter from AZ. so quite a weather shock but they are climatised now.:D

Dave
My SIL is from Superior, WI. We're from Connecticut. He's used to miserable weather. She still has weather shock.

I've not had the pleasure of visiting there yet...

Thanks for the link Dave. She's sent me enough pictures to get an idea of what it's like. And since we're going in early May, it'll almost be spring, right? ;)

We left here end of April spent a week in Flagstaff then travel time to Minot (I think about 3 Day's). It was still chilly when we arrived maybe 40's at night, 50's daytime. It was June before it was comfortable. They do have a nasty time later in the Month's it can actually get into the lower 100's. They also can get hail which can be damaging size. It was bad enough I have actually bought a Hail protector for my truck, the only real damage to the 5th wheel was the awning. Some others had broken skylights, plastic vent covers etc.

@DavidC we made plans to be in Minot 5/1/19 through 5/7/19 to see the new grandson! If you're going to be up there at the same time it would be great to meet up...

Mark, sure thing,we will see how it goes. There is one TDR member in Lincoln just north of Bismark DaveHess if your interested. I haven't heard from him in a while tho.
