comrades! anyone have any info on the " gift " democrat john hickenlooper forced on us in colorado - adopting california emission standards on this state? i have heard this will impact diesels more than gassers. what about buying or selling a new/used vehicle? what about vehicles brought here from other states? will they be unsellable etc. in colorado? lived here for over 30 years. now considering wyoming. cheers!

Welcome to the club, Maine did the same some years back....Couldn't buy a TDI in Maine during the emissions episode a decade ago as we are aligned with Commiefornia standards so everyone went to NH to buy them... the Maine VW dealers really appreciated that Sh*t I'll tell you....

Testing pretty much went out the window after several failed attempts by the State Of Maine to implement it. Our Dealership in Westbrook Maine is housed in a re-habbed former test facility..

I think they figured out that 3/4 of the State was going to be on foot (and the resulting complications such as not being able to get to work!) if they forced the issue as many residents simply cannot afford compliant vehicles and that is the straight up truth.....

I've lived here in Calif since 1967 it used to be a great place to live.
Now I'm counting the days till I retire and move out of here.
Only problem is where to go.

I heard they had to do it to offset the hazy cloud of Panama red floating over Denver. People where getting contact high from one kind of smoke and owner envy from the other kind :D:D

yes sir. the whole pot thing has ruined the state. none of my fellow tradesman can find any kid who can pass a pee test to get a job in the trades. and the homelessness that the pot has attracted is almost unimaginable. they are on every corner....

That's the future of our country. Us here in New York are following the Make Pot Legal trend. You'd be amazed how many job applicants we're going through that can't pass a simple Piss test. Then they get mad saying how it's going to be legal soon why can't they smoke it?

As a natural Wyoming resident (south east, Laramie/Centennial area) I can attest the greenies are slowly ruining Wyoming as well. The best thing Wyoming has going is its relative lack of development and wide open spaces. But the cities are steadily losing their identity by an influx of limp wristed liberals.

If it's the BS you want away from there's the Dakota's. Although they have that pesky winter thing although it helps to keep the nut cases from living there. Haven't spent any time in Wyoming but same on winter. Anyone else know of states with common sense ?

Arizona. Emission testing is only in Tucson and Phoenix areas. You can open carry or CCW. No restrictions on gun ownership. If you are driving the speed limit you are likely to get run over, everyone drives 10-15 over.

Only issue is HOA are pretty much mandated for new housing projects in Phoenix and Tucson areas so if you want a new house you are kind of stuck with a HOA unless you custom build on a county island.

Summers in Phoenix can get a bit rough. Not unusual to see 115 in July and a lot of time where it doesn't go below 100 until 11pm. Summer in Phoenix has a lot in common with winters in ND, SD and Wyoming. Batteries die. Car isn't comfortable until you are basically at work, etc. Just doesn't have the white stuff to deal with. ;)

Arizona emissions are Pima county and maricopa. I have lived here for 42 years and have watched this area degrading to the calif. style. It will not be long before the Az. way of life is completely gone. 115 is a very conservative number, more like 117-120. IT GETS HOT. Plus they just added a $32.00 fee to be paid every year for any registration. But they tout it's not a tax.

Except our days are numbered as the libs, greenies and weenies and eunuchs are flooding in.

We've been thinking of the Dakotas and Wyoming, don't see much BS in the news happening there.
This year we're planning on a few camping trips to that region so we can ck it out.
