How did your determine the shocks were toast already?
Can you post a pic of the old shocks? Do they say Made In USA Nitrogen?
I am not at my place to look but I am certain mine said NITROGEN.
Different grade shocks on different trim levels???
More like different roads all over the country, rust belt has potholes from hell that can swallow a complete tire. I have had 2 destroyed wheels and 2 tires destroyed on my car because of these. Shocks don't last around here. Lots of highway/interstate is different than backroad/city driving.Different grade shocks on different trim levels???
My question is does RAM provide different quality shocks based on Trim level, my truck is a LongHorn.. My Son just told me his said "NITROGEN" also on his Limited.
Regardless, the gas is nitrogen.I have a set of takeoffs off my sons 2016 3500 Bighorn, he did a lift as soon as he bought it. Saving until My OE ‘s are worn out . I just took a look at these takeoffs sitting in the garage. They only say “gas filled”, not the word nitrogen. Also made in the USA

I was just pointing out the word "nitrogen" was not on the shock, yes GAS filled. I think what 12V is wondering if there is a difference in the quality of the shocks, well the wording appears to be different, no idea if the quality is any different .
My 2014 Laramie, the shocks seem okay at 40K, will check them over a bit better to make sure.
YES, I will see if I can get a pic of the ones I took off the front of my LongHorn then we can compare part numbers.
Yeah, I get it. I would bet just an average shock across the board unless off road package.I was just pointing out the word "nitrogen" was not on the shock, yes GAS filled.
