I will probably go to the AMZ/OIL Donaldson as they are a few cents less thru AMZ/OIL than the Donaldson thru AMAZON. I would rather have a black filter showing.

I also am not happy FleetGuard decided to send the production of the filter to Mexico! The Donaldson is US Made.

Just looked it up....not crazy about the round bottom on the filter....:)

Simply change from the top and use a strap wrench. Good time to see the wear on your boost hose!!!

Not going to happen :D But I will switch to the Donaldson oil filter, but it will come out thru the fender just fine :). Although the socket style filter tool works well thru the fender, I have also used the strap wrench before I bought the socket .
A band style wrench will loosen it up through the fender easily.

I am NOT the only one that has that condition.

But hey don’t check and just hope you don’t have a road side issue.

There is a lot of things that can leave us beside the road, just curious to how many times this has failed YOU. If this is a common occurrence ,well thats one thing, but to worry about something that is rare is another . Is it necessary to remove or is it something to just take a look at ??

Now the Y pipe on the my 2014 is one I keep an eye on , but this one you refer to is not .

Chrysler felt it was an issue so they replaced it under warranty.

Just thought some people on here would like to know about the potential problem.

People can look if they want or not. No skin off my AZZ.

Is that Donaldson the same filter AMZ/OIL sells?

"EAO80"

ISO 4548-12 of 98.7 percent at 20 microns

One more hijacker here.

Donaldson makes the Amzoil EA080 filters and paints them black instead of blue. Amsoil EA080 and DBL 7349 appear to be the exact same filter painted different colors.

Edit: i just looked them up online and it appears you can now get Donaldson DBL7349 also in black.

I have to come through the top. AC line in the way. I guess I will look at your truck when I see it in a week.
