So towing was 100% successful! I love this truck even more, and yes at about 6k and towing up a hill was absolutely no problem with this Cummins. My old 5.3L Silverado couldn’t get out of its own way let alone haul my car.

As far as the ball mount, I need to purchase a new one, that was the lowest my current one would go.

THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE TIPS AND KNOWLEDGE SHARED!

How much drop on the ball you got now?

Did you lock out 6th or let it do it's thing? Did it even downshift on the grades you pulled?

I pushed TH and EB when I got in the truck, I’m assuming because of the DRD tune it stayed in 5th up until 62mph then it shifted into 6th, that was only once. I kept the cruise control at 60mph and it was a wonderful experience!!! I have a whole new respect for this truck, I can’t wait to purchase a travel trailer and explore America with my family!

It is a 6” drop, I want to order a B&W tow and stow and it seems 7” is the biggest available for that particular model...think it will be ok? Any other recommendations?
I got a weigh safe 10" drop, but predominately use 8" unless towing the small utility trailer which can use the lowest setting. It too, can be flipped around for storage so you don't hit your shins.

Edit.... its a 10" drop.

My reciever was 22.25 to the pin center on pretty level ground., the center pin is now 12.25".

It funny how many measurements are involved.

Looks good.

For sure these are a massive quality feeling product. They carried the GNY hitches but I dont think they would have worked with my lift gate and were another $100.

I have a small tilt bed landscape trailer, will have to convert to 2" ball.
