Thought you might be interested in the event we held last night.
Every two years the Northeastern Loggers Expo is held in Bangor Maine.
It has become the standard for us to host a steak feed the first night of the expo.
We hire the Shriners to do the cooking. And they do an excellent job.
Target crowd is 300 people, we hit that number last night in spite of less than desirable weather.

This requires our dealership to dedicate about 3 days of prep and shutting down 5 production bays for those days.

I will add pictures as I get time today..

Scrubbing the bays, top to bottom. Painting was performed about a month ago so just some touch ups this week.
Floors were done with chemicals, a pair of Tennant power scrubbers and hours of hand scrubbing...

Some prep..

Add more pictures later, Scouts are having a camping weekend and we just made some food to take over..
Hope the weather improves for them, nothing any worse than wet tents...

At CaCo we have real nice sunshine and temps after a wet night, and according to the forecast it stays that way for the next couple of days.
Hope that comes up to your place to.

Nothing worse than a wet tent and nothing better than being dry in a tent that's wet. Been there, done that.

Mike, Is this a benefit for a group?

It's in the low 90's here, I'm sweating.

Just a Camporee? For all the troops in this area such as Ellsworth, Bangor, Lincoln, etc...a chance for them to all hang out together and do some activities..

They have the use of a small hanger on the Western end of the Lincoln air strip so they can get inside and have day activities there because it rained this morning. Temps are in the 50’s right now, 30’s tonight...just got some pictures of my two Scout grandsons holding up a fish each that they caught after lunch...

That’s so nice that your place does a total clean out and hosts that event. I can’t even remotely relate to a business doing that. My place was built in ‘83, and has never given up even a day for a deep cleaning like that.
The kids look like they’re enjoying themselves.

Sorry I missed it. This is the first year in memory I haven’t made the show. Getting to old to dream about shiny iron and a BIG payment. It’s hasnt been the same with my uncle gone. I’ve still got the photo of he and Jackie that made the Bangor Daily years ago. You could almost see he was telling her that he wouldn’t let me do anything too dumb. I hope everyone appreciated the hard work you folks do for their enjoyment.

Some items rented in addition to the tents (there are two tents, one here and one at the show).
Coffee makers, round tables, rectangular tables, chairs, curtains....it takes a lot of stuff...
