C'mon 12V98, Its not a good idea to condemn lube or rotating mass on 1 OA. establish trends should apply....I'm not being critical of the results ,Just Saying....

on a side note...i did my transmission drain and fill and got no codes from the Aisin :) also transfer case...no issues .....30,000 miles baby :) ready for the 4,700+ mile Summer road trip :) Tailgate and drag link recall scheduled for Friday :(

I have admitted I ran it too long. But it sure should have not been that bad at that mileage.

I am not the only one to have issue with the OE lube. It causes a grabbing when it’s done.

You will not get any codes from the approximate 7 quart drain and fill.
It’s each 60k service, when the sump filter is scheduled for replacement, that you’ll wind up with the P0868. Even then, simply clear it with a cheapie code reader and it is all good.

My 3500 with anti-spin was grabbing terribly in both directions. It started at 13k miles and I just changed the gear oil at 15,200 and it immediately stopped the grabbing in turns. Oil looked fine and only a small amount of metal in the magnet.

For fun tell me about the condition of each pic, miles etc.

My guess is, the first picture is the first picture taken of your diff. The wear looks to be new, if you go by the machined grain. The second looks polished, like it has been ran alot, especially the weight you tow with.

First pic @ 65k towing a combined 28-29k 11 HO DRW with 3.42's. Well over 1/2 of the miles towing. Dumped OE around 15k or so. So at least 50k on the AMZ/OIL 75-110. The GL came out golden brown. Those gears look like new. kthaxton curious what your honest thoughts are on first pic with info I provided?

Second pic is around 24k when I dumped OE admittedly longer run than RAM wants. Those babies are spit polished. Towing 33-35k combined with 15 DRW 4.10's about 1/2 of the miles.

I guess I should be taking more pictures of anything related to my truck and how I do things....because it is soooo profound!
