Amtrak From Philadelphia to NYC

IS IT REASONABLY SAFE??
Wife & our friend have drove out with a trailer to pickup a Farmall MD tractor and 4 bottom plow I found in Pennsylvania. They want to shop in NYC, I'm not sure if ill be able to tag along, train for $60 bucks a head sounds reasonable enough but concerned about the safety?

We used Amtrak last year from Boston to NYC (Penn Station)
and back. No concerns that I saw.

I believe the Amtrak from Philly comes into Penn Station just like the Boston one does??

They crashed a brand new amtrak just south of seattle last year. Speeding. Went around a 35mph curve at over 80. Engineer wasnt paying attention. But they decided it was amtraks falt for not having positive train control.

Yes, Philadelphia to NYC will end at Penn Station.

Was thinking they also had an asleep at the wheel accident in the New England area also

There’s an Amtrak run called the “Keystone” pick it up right in Lancaster and it’ll hook around Philly and take you up the NE corridor and into Times Sq. About 3 hours.
Do it for sight seeing or the experience. You can shop on par in any major city- unless you want Tiffany, Macy’s or other historic store like that.
