so i want to install a auto meter Fuel Rail Pressure Gauge And unfortunately t calls for stripping the wires going to the pressure sensor. Problem is there’s no way to slide heat shrink on to seal the splice. JUST BLACK TAPPING IT IS NOT A VIABLE OPTION...
does anyone have a solution

Get a digital rail pressure gauge. Several options and they all are more accurate and use the OE sensor.

Ultra Gauge is cheap and good.

Edge CTS2 is also good, and a lot nicer than a UG.

Smarty Touch is the nicest monitor and it’s also a great tuner.

I had the same problem a few years ago with the same gauge. Tapping the factory harness was not an option for me either. There is an adapter that avoids this and it worked perfectly. I had posted about it, I'll see if I can dig up the thread and the part #.

Use Posi-Lock connectors. Secure, removable, no solder or heat shrink needed. It's all I use now for wire connections. Also, I can tell you that soldering that joint is not a good idea. I have the Edge CTS2 and I added a pressure sensor to get fuel pressure. The wires were way too long, so I shortened them and soldered them together, and it threw off the fuel pressure reading making it completely inaccurate! So I removed the soldered joints and used Posi-Lock Connectors and the pressure readings went back to where they were before I shortened the way-too-long wires.

Also, I use Posi-Tap Connectors to tap wires, also removable. I have no association with the Posi Lock company, just like and use their products.
