Been using Opti-Lube XPD in my truck for a number of years and wondering if putting a little too much every time I top off my tank could cause the injectors to foul up? Being exact with what I add every time is difficult. At the time I'm always thinking it's better to add slightly too much than too little. Anybody have thoughts on this? I'm beginning to see more smoke/haze in my exhaust then I'm use to. I'm sure there are people that think it's not necessary but I feel it's worth the time/expense.

I cant see why it would be a problem... Lots of people use 2 stroke oil and no problems with injectors.

Easy test IMO. Run a few tanks with no additive. If the smoke/haze clears up you have the answer.
Simple idea for sure but I'm wondering if too much of this additive has caused the nozzle in the injectors to 'gum' up. The additive is a heavier, more dense liquid and that was my concern to begin with. Can this stuff cause a buildup and need to be removed and cleaned out somehow? I've got a can of premium injector cleaner that once I get down to about half a tank I'm going to run through when I tow my trailer in a couple weeks. These Bosch RV275 were running so clean a few months ago. Something has definitely changed.
