Can there be a "tune" in my truck

2008, 6.7 2500, 68rfe, 4dr, long bed 2wd, new to me now with 100K mi.
My previous trk was a 2004 5.9 with 48re, and 4:10 dif., 160k+ mi. Edge tuner run in mid position.
This 6.7 seems pretty strong to me. Recently from front position at signal light needed to be in a different lane to get on the freeway ramp on the far side of the overpass so flat floored it off the light and it laid rubber all the way across the intersection (3:73 posi.dif.) Surprised me, to say nothing about the Mustang on my left. Problem solved. PS: I'm a gray haired 73 yr old.
So question: Can there be a tune programmed into this truck that would not involve having an active tuner attached or are they just that quick? Wouldn't the dealer detect it when they do a diagnostic?

Yes it could have a tune without an active tuner, such as a Smarty or EFI Live.

The dealer would only detect it if they were looking for it, and since it's likely long out of warranty they probably aren't looking. Is all the emissions intact?

It might also be stock, the 6.7 is much torquier than the 5.9.

All stock as far as I know. Had a dealer change all fluids and filters after I bought it. Stock alloy wheels and Michelin tires. Thanks.

One way to check if the truck has been deleted or not is to see if the DPF is still there. Also are the sensor lines are attached to the DPF! The DPF is in-line with the exhaust pipe approximately under the passenger seat.

I read were you have driven this for 10k miles on another post. If you have you may have notice the truck going into regeneration mode as the DPF needs to be regenerated about every 250 miles or so. When you check the fuel mileage in the overhead display the MPG will fall off from say 12MPG to 8.5MPG, this is when the truck is in REGEN!

My truck is a 2008, 6.7L that is using a "SMARTYS67" for a tuner with gages on the A-pillar.

BTW, I am not far behind you either, 70 years young!
