Can't top off for extra fuel?

And while we're at it, I'd like that if the truck senses a trailer attached via the brake controller, leave the tow/haul and the Ebrake in the same state it was when the truck was turned off. Heck, just leave it same way it was when the truck was turned off so we don't have turn the stuff back on each time.

Yes, "same state" would be my preference, and include the cruise control, too.

So, sometimes my exhaust brake will do just that.

Today I was towing our new, to us, 5er home and got fuel in Logan, UT. When I got back in the truck, started with remote start as I walked back, and pressed the ignition button I noticed that the exhaust brake light was on and then the dash told me full exhaust brake on.... tow/haul didn't do that.

It's not the first time I've had the exhaust brake stay on thru a power cycle, but every other time the keyfob has been left in the rig. This time it was in my pocket.

Not sure what triggers it to stay on, but it's done it 6 or 8 times now.

I dunno, how many times does one actually press tow/haul button and exhaust brake aside from start up?

Although I whole heartedly agree it would be great if these two functions were a "last position" as they are on the C&C.

Then the buttons could be in the back seat and it wouldn't matter....:D

I use the exhaust brake a lot, but not always. There are many instances where I like to let it coast down, so an On/Off switch like big truck Jakes have would be much handier than scrolling through Full/Auto/Off all the time. Same with Tow/Haul, I haven't spent any appreciable time in 2018 or older 6.7/Aisin trucks, but Tow/Haul on my 2019 is very, very aggressive, so there are times when I don't need it to redline the engine as soon as I look at the brake pedal(even with the ex brake off), so I use it as needed. Plus,I wear bifocals, and my vision is certainly not what it used to be, and looking down at the center stack is a real distraction to me. YMMV.:D

Yes exhaust brake stays on with trailer plugged in, however not tow haul.

Haha... guess I don't shut down with the trailer attached very often... I rarely shutdown while fueling on the road or parking the camper.

Not very often, and with auto mode it's even less.

When I want to coast I use AUTO, and it's great for that.

T/H is super aggressive when empty. I don't even like it on light trailers, but with heavier trailers it's awesome. I don't understand why someone would want to use TH when empty.

I like my 2019, and the motor upgrades. The CP4.2 has me a bit worried, but I guess we'll see in the long run. I'm pretty sure its an upgraded pump, and not the same that the DMAX had. Overall the truck is leaps and bounds better than my 07 C&C and alot better than the 2014 CTD 2500 service truck. I'm glad the 3:42's are gone, the 3:73's are almost perfect, wish the 4:10 were available for the SRW.

I need to try it, but I believe if you remote start it goes back to settings you had when last shut off.
