Oil pressure help

MY truck has 292000 miles on it most highway and towing a 15000 lb race car trailer (funny car) all over the mid central USA. I purchased the truck used with 125000 and it has been the best towing truck I ever owned until now...dont' have any idea if the injector nozzels were ever replaced before I got it. I had engine trouble light come on last week. Took it to O'Rilleys and had them read code it came up P2149 I was told it was bank 2 number 4 hole electrical ?? anyway I bought a new solenoid and put it on, #4 it started and drove fine for 32 miles (mostly highway) when I got to a red light and began to slow down it went into limp mode, shook like hell, then cleared up until I pulled into my driveway it started the shake thing again. ..shut it off. I think its time to replace all six injector nozzels. Looking for advice on what to buy..New or reman.. ?

Never change a single Injector and never change a solenoid or a nozzle on them, they are entirely a calibrated Unit and not servicable from the user.
Here at TDR de dont even know why some Shops well solenoid, thats a waste of money.

At your milage you are in for a full set of six New! not Reman Injectors. Especially as Rams fuel filter from factory is not sufficient and let through to much dirt that wears out the Injectors prematurely.

Bad news I know..

Ozymandias,Thanks for your good advise, will get 6 Bosch new injectors...I apologize for being in the wrong forum, I'll go back down one gen where I should be.

No prob, I reported it to a Mod so they can move the thread to the proper location.

For the Injectors, please read through the forums for companys that really deliver new Injectors. There is a lot of crap for sale, some even sell agricultural injectors claiming it the right one for your application. Bad stuff happens.

I don't know if you have emissions testing where you are but if you do, don't get bigger tips.
Regardless of what any shop says, especially DDP, they WILL NOT PASS testing.

With that kind of mileage I agree that you should go ahead and replace the injectors. But if you are doing the job yourself I would suggest that you also change out the injector wiring harnesses since you are almost there anyway. Last December I had the injectors on my truck changed out. A few months later I started getting the P2146 code intermittently. That code is similar to yours, but for Group 1. After months of tracking down the problem, from thinking that it was injectors, ECM, engine wiring harness, it finally came down to one of the injector wiring harnesses. I replaced all three on November 1, and so far I haven't seen the code return. But it was also one of the most aggravating vehicle problems I ever had, and the fix was relatively easy.

So if you are doing the injectors yourself, you may as well replace the 15 year old wiring harnesses and retainer clips since the only other engine part you need to remove is the rocker housing cover, which is only 7 more bolts. You can get all the parts you need at the local Cummins shop, or Geno's Garage for around $300. In doing research I found that these wiring harnesses going out is fairly common. You only need purchase these parts:

3 injector wiring harnesses (Part #3966805)
6 wiring retainer clips (Part #3963736)
1 rocker housing cover gasket (specific to engine serial number)
1 valve cover gasket (specific to engine serial number)
6 O-rings that fit over the valve cover bolts (not sure of part #)
