5w30 OEF in the used-in-winter KJ; I prefer it to the SS 5w30 ASL, as I've gotten better UOAs with the slightly thicker 3.3 HTHS on the OEF - a bit more resistant to fuel dilution on this particular short tripped vehicle.

Just saw this, didn't seem to get an email notification.

'60s big boats had the 1 wire bracket grounded horns, which are apparently a bit cleaner sounding.

They offered the same horns with the two wire weatherpak connectors until the '90s; some Buicks had these too as an option.

My factory twin horn relay and wiring are rated to 20amps, no issues with several years of these 4 horns.
They draw 15.5amps last time I checked.
Hope that helps.

What years are considered “early Cadillacs”?

I’ve found them thru 1985. Seville & Eldorado. Optional on de Ville. Inside fenderwells.

Use 3% voltage drop wire calculator. The easier they run, the easier they are to “do” a lot with. From a chirp to a sustained blast.

Resonance is key. Surrounded by metal.

I have the Viar, 2 Hadley Air Horns, 5 Gallon Tank. Courtesy Easyconnect air fitting under the bumper. Just wish I could find the small leak that makes it run about every 1.5 weeks for a few minutes, but then at least I know its working. LED mini light on the dash and a switch in the dash "tray". Did have one Fuse at the Air Pressure Switch fail last year - that took me a LONG time to find.
Tried a Harbor Freight Air Impact once - did not work and took it back... But LONG Harbor Freight Breaker bar does.

Mine has a minor leak somewhere also I haven't found. My Craftsman 1/2" impact works fine along with the air chisel and 3/8 ratchet. The Die Grinder it struggles with.

Twin Hadleys, Viar, 5 Gallon Tank, air hose quick connect under rear bumper, mini-Led on dash and switch in the dash "tray". Friends with leaky air systems,

did you use Loctite thread sealant and not the tape type? When I install mine, there are three legs and each one will have a ball valve to isolate leaks. Get the soapy water solution and see where the bubbles are.

Hope this helps.

I use radiator clamps to attach them to the front sway bar in the middle. Getting ready to mount them on my 17. Just a note, be advised the underhood temps with EGR, turbo, and exhaust can fry the air horn compressor. On my 09 4500, fried the compressor and the air gauge coming off it. I can't tell you where to install it under the hood, but I'm installing a Viair constant duty air system on my 17 5500 and its going under the truck bed. Be sure to protect the air tubing with wiring loom to keep from chafing.

Anyhoo, long answer to a short question.

Cheers, Ron

I have a 22 inch GROVER Air horn mounted at just under the passenger battery and facing down towards the front of the truck. I have a PRXB air actuated exhaust brake. I put a 200psi, 100% duty cycle, VIAIR 450 compressor. I have a solenoid actuated air valve and I put a small rocker switch to be able to change from the stock horns to the Grover. All switching of the horns are done with the stock horm button switch. Needles to say, the Grover "Wakes up the Dead"!
