I appreciate the FULL size pic, looking on my desktop I see it now. I most likely have the manual somewhere, that was 5 years ago.

I fully understand the graft but what i have goes further into detail. Just more info to be shared.

But do you have a Faux Leather binder to keep yours in?

Yes I do, why does that matter? They have one set of manuals.....they don't have a special set for Longhorns.

I certainly hope I didn't burst your bubble by letting you know your manuals are no better than the other manuals. :D

AH641D, thanks for catching that. I corrected it.

With the newer oil GS and other guys that run the 5-40 would the 15-40 T6 cover your needs?

For me the Amsoil DME is still a better oil so I'll continue to run that. T6 15w-40 is actually more of a competitor for the ADP 15w-40 in terms of price and performance. I can get 3 gallons of T6 15w-40 to my door for $78.90 and 3 gallons of ADP for $81.95. If I get it from my local Amsoil guy it would likely be cheaper than the T6 as I save on shipping that way.

It is nice to see some more 15w-40 full synthetic options thou as I do think synthetic 15w-40 has some benefits over synthetic 5w-40... again nothing that will be appreciable for most uses, just paper specs. I likely wont ever rack up enough miles to differentiate so it just comes down to preference.

I will say I don't understand why Rotella T6 5w-40 is cheaper than 15w-40, it should be the other way around as 15w-40 should be cheaper to manufacture.

Maybe, don't really care......at least right now, my local WalMarts don't have it and 5W40 is perfectly fine and even better for the winter.

It's almost like you are still trying to make a case against 5W40...

Mom, I know worrying about me is a mother's duty and I appreciate your concern about my oil choice, but don't fret none, I assure you, I am fine, and so is my oil. Perhaps knitting will occupy your worry time with something productive? :D

Back in August last year, I had to hit two Walmart’s to source my 5W40 Delo 400. One store only had two gallons of Delo, one gallon of Rotella. I thought “surely the next store will have three gallons of one or the other”. I was wrong....and ended up buying the 15W40 Rotella T6 as there wasn’t three gallons of matching 5W40 at store #2, either.

I mean golly....if they actually ship the engines from the factory with 5W40.....it must be ok, right?

Of course it's fine, just curious if any are going to change to the 15-40 or not.

NOT trying to convince any of you to do anything different than you already are.

I have never run anything but 15-40, but yes I am switching to T6 15-40, if the price is right or I will go T6 5-40
