When I was stationed there spring came on July 10th, Summer was August 1st and all downhill after that:D. Of course I was in my early 20's and use to that weather, when it was up to 0 that was T-shirt weather. After being in Az. for 40ish years T-shirts don't start until 80.

My uncle used to be a guide in Aroostook county. He said the best fishing in Allagash was when the leaves on a poplar tree were about the size of a mouses ear. That was usually around the 4th of July. Summer is slow to come to northern Maine.

Finally got the internet back here at the house..

Uploading one video just to give you snowbirds the Heebie Jeebies....

Nice, no V8 but sure an impressive MPG number right?
Good to hear you arrived safely at home, otherwise i know that you know how to handle that road conditions as a northern maniac.
Biggest danger is always other traffic that gets out of control, sliding into your lane, that i fear the most.

Rough going there Mike for sure.

We have been camping since wed at a SC state park western side of state. That east coast storm went over us thurs. tornado like damage about 60 m n of us tore up Spartanburg sc.

The lake were on is 11,400 acres and the water level was low when we arrived. Storm raised water level 4.5’ now full
Pool.

Then about 3am lost power until 1pm. Clearing up and chilly.

I think more is coming your way. We are to have some light snow and freezing rain this Saturday Night into Sunday. Which we all know goes right up to the east coast. Good luck!

We had rain and 35 degrees Friday am. It warmed to almost 50 at lunch. 2 pm a cold front started through and brought 75 mph gusts and 20 degrees overnight. We kept our power but near 50,000 customers lost theirs. My sister-in-law was still out at noon today. I hate the wind.

found Indiana kind of strange in the Bad weather roadwork department. INDOT is very tuned to the approaching weather the days before it hits they are out spraying brine (Don't like it) when it dose arrive they have the trucks with blades out clearing snow. The hwy's are actually clear of ice still need to slow down which most don't but its not long before they are upside down on the side of the road. No studded tires or chains in Indiana.

Common sense which isn't very common these days is all thats needed
