Amp Research XL Powersteps on stock RAM 2500

Hello Everyone!

I'm wanting to know if anyone has the XL powersteps installed on a stock height 2500. I have a 2018 Tradesman stock height with the standard Amp Research powersteps currently installed. Unfortunately the wife took a bad fall recently when exiting. I feel that if the steps could come down lower (3" as advertised on the XL) it may be a better fit. The XL's are listed for lifted trucks so I don't know if this will compromise anything on a stock height truck. Thanks and stay safe!

They tuck up just as tight as the standard steps.... Just the hinged bracket is longer.

Actually they do not. They stick out quite a bit more then the standard amp steps. They tuck up into that "frame" as opposed to up underneath the truck.

I just might have to get a set of those for my 2017 Ram 5500... Had my left ankle fused last year and its painful climbing in sometimes. Thanks for the post.

I have the standard Amp steps. 2nd truck I’ve put them on.
Absolutely love them. So does the Boss!

They tuck up tight. You don’t even see them on my truck.

My "boss" at first was like, "how much did you spend on those!" and then after the first couple times she rode in the truck with them installed she was like, "Oh, these are nice. I like them!" Lol

Those are NICE but for my short wife she is good with our steps as the truck set's low with Alt Ride enabled with the OE Rear Air Ride.

It's not the getting in with tube steps that's the problem. It's getting out. Not enough there to even put your heel on.
