I have a slight grade to open and close the doors on my 2018. The doors won't stay open for nothing frequently attempting to slam shut with people in the way trying to get in or out of the truck. My 2003 had better ability for the doors to stay open on there own.

Are there stronger springs available or a revised door holding mechanism?

My '15 did that, and it was pretty annoying. What was more annoying was the creaking and groaning hinges that needed cleaned and lubed more frequently than any vehicle I ever owned. White lithium proved pretty ineffective, so I tried a variety of lubes that would flow better, but they wouldn't stay quiet for long. My '19 doesn't have that affliction. A little lube at each service, and all is well.

My driveway is more than just a slight grade and I know what you are talking about. However what I have found is that I just have to be careful opening the door to the right spot and then hope the wind isn't blowing too hard in the right direction.

If you look at the door from the inside while open, at the bottom hinge there is a spring a few inches long. I think the spring is more to help close it than keep it open but actually unsure on that. In any case right past the spring you will see an arm that connects to the hinge. That arm has two detents in it. the first one being the partial open and the second one being for full open. When I open the door I make sure that it catches the first detent and let it rest there before I let go of the door. The second detent or full open seems to me to have a bit more holding power but I really have to stretch while sitting in the seat to get it open that far so I don't use it much unless the wind is really blowing from the right direction in my driveway.
Those detents aren't super strong as you already know and if you made them much stronger you might have difficulty closing the door. I have not looked but it is possible there is some adjustment that is possible on them. The detents are fairly shallow and pretty rounded I am sure for smooth operation but again some close looking may identify a possible adjustment.

A dremel tool or the like you might be able to make the detent a bit deeper but I would be careful and just do a bit at a time as you dont want the door catching when trying to close it either.

My 2016 and my brother in laws 2012 both creak and pop unless lubbed heavily.
