Trade it in the last day or two of the month on a new one. Maybe they will be in a rush and not look closely at it.

Mark, the new truck brigade will try to bring you over, but remember one thing.
You have a pre emission rig. That is irreplaceable.
Oh trust me, I know the value of this trusty 5.9.

At 165k and with the rest of it in decent shape, fixing it to get a few more years is what I’ll likely do. Unless someone offers me a decent price for it as is...

Found some prices starting at $3300 but every listing says discontinued or no longer available.

We would have to confirm the part fitting your VIN by someone that has access to the data, maybe @BigPapa could check this?

Prices fluctuate widely, I looked a couple years ago for mine and it was 1459$ back then.

These seem to be available, as soon as there is a confirmation for a part# you can search the internet.

This site's search function stinks. There is a Dec 3, 2017 post "UP Grade Frame?" by frank1 where he says he repaired the frame on his plow truck and was asking about the viability of swapping to a later model frame. If he is still around maybe he would be willing to send you pictures of his repairs and let you know how they worked out long term.

About the only thing on my truck that hasn't rusted through yet is the frame. I've used a cheap snake camera to look inside the critical parts, like the front control arms. You could use one to look inside your frame to get a feel for how bad it is. The best outcome would be the rot is localized to a low spot and easily patched.

Labor would be a killer, even if the frame were free. :-(

We helped a friend do a frame swap on a '94 a few years ago. It took the 3 of us the better part of a month working available evenings and Saturdays to get it done. I don't know exactly how many man hours went in, but I can tell you that absolutely nothing came off of that rusted frame easily. So in the end, pretty much all of the hardware had to be replaced, new bushings, brake lines, parking brake cables, wiring repairs where we noticed unseen damage, etc. It was a lot of work and a lot of down time chasing misc parts that you didn't expect to have to source.

Wow,

Replacing the frame is a huge project to remove cab, bed, engine, transmission axles, everything total off frame. Whatever you choose, please take pics.

Cheers, Ron
