My truck has what I guess are the stock rear view side mirrors. I recently purchased a 37' Carriage Cameo fifth wheel and brought it home. The mirrors aren't wide enough. Anyone done a full replacement, or used any add on mirrors that work well ?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks !! I have a bad history of doing the Mongo on things. I had tried a couple different ideas but was worried about using too much force. It's probably in the owner's manual, I ought to know to look there. Sure appreciate the quick reply.

Steve, can you post a picture of the mirrors?

It is remotely possible that you might not have tow mirrors...

A quick picture would tell us for sure..

I thought that I had seen the occasional Tradesman with the small 1500 style mirrors.

I just checked the online window sticker on a 2020 2500 that my local dealer has and the tow mirrors appear to be standard.

But when I search around for 2016 models it looks like they were still an option..

Stock style tow mirrors of decent quality are avalalble from 1aauto.com in a variety of options.

That said, TopGear has recently started offering a GM style extendable mirror also in a variety of options for both 3rd gen and 4th gen trucks.

Here is the link for your 2016 truck, but other years are available as well.

I am not sure on the quality of these newly released mirrors, but a few people on cumminsforum have been using them and like them so far.

Both mirrors turn 90 degrees away from the truck. I'll hook up the trailer later this week and see what I can see. Looks to me it might be enough, but a road test will be the way to know. I'm sure I've seen other trucks with the mirrors set up in the out position, I just never paid enough attention and focused to realize what a simple thing it is.

The previous owner - original owner - bought it to tow a camper. I had a copy of the original window sticker but I don't recall anything about a mirror option.
