Unless you just like changing water pumps, draining/filling/burping radiators, etc get a new Cummins water pump. Others have a HIGH failure rate. Consider a new Cummins thermostat while you are at it

Ok, but my options are limited where I am camping and I’ll have to settle for what I can get this time.

I did the Gates pump from Geno’s when I did mine last December. It had positive reviews.

I went to a parts store that was about50 miles away and bought a re man pump, put it on... it was leaking from the get go, poor remanufacturing job... I even took it off and super cleaned all surfaces... again..... to be sure I hadn’t screwed up on the initial install... put it on .... again.... same thing.......had to go to Napa in another town an extra 40 miles past the first one . They sold me a NEW Gates pump for way less than I had paid for the re -man junk. The Gates pump is perfect
