brake light blinks like when I use the door lock key button

I've got gremlins in my brake light. When Truck is parked, I'll see my brake light blink two or three times like I pushed the door lock on my key. But key is in the house nowhere near the truck. REAL noticeable at night, anyone have this problem? It's a 2006 with about 160K Thanks in advance!

That is a normal function of the door lock software and can be turned ON or OFF with programming.

I believe the tail lights, not the brake lights flash when activating the locks with the fob.

Is the third brake light coming on along with the other ones??

Thanks but maybe I didn't make it clear, I'm not pushing the key fob. It goes off on it's own.

I'm trying to determine if it is the "Tail Lights" or the "Brake Lights" that are coming on by themselves, hence the question regarding the third brake light on the cab. Wondering if the brake light switch is failing.....

It's the brake lights I'll check the adjustment on the brake pedal inside. Thanks I'll let you know

The brake light switch is in proper adjustment. So I'll see about getting a new switch or spray some corrosion X in/on it first. Thanks mwilson!

New switch is inexpensive right from Dodge. $20.00 to $25.00 range as I recall....

It also has a one time adjustment when you install it.

I'm assuming the brake pedal hasn't dropped or anything right???
