so I already have a replacement fuel pump and filter system. What will a pressure gauge do for me other than clutter up my dash or pillar?

It will tell you if you loose fuel pressure to the VP-44. Lost of fuel pressure to the VP-44 is one of the major causes for failures, as fuel lubes and cools the pump. Others are heat(kills the electronics in the pump) and those that came with a brass bore(like my 2001.5).

What SnoKing said = "No 24V should be driven around the block without one."
:) LMAOROF. But, IMHO I'd have to agree. One the first things I did (bought 5/01) was install gauges; fuel psi, trans temp, egt/boost combo in tri-a-pillar mount (probably 7/01). Cheap insurance...
Anyhow, and on topic, check everything possible and potentially related "it-is CHEAP", much more so than "throwing new parts" to see what fixes it... just saying

EGT, boost, transmission out line, and fuel pressure.

I have a set on order from DAP for $379, and $149 for the tubes.

Sounds around what I paid. My son did the swap and he said all I needed were the injectors. Maybe washers? Don't remember. He has done injector swap many times on 24 V's.

Injectors were swapped over a year ago.

I am not arguing the reasoning for the FP Gauge, simply will deal with it if I ever need to.

Genuine New Bosch 275 RV injectors are nearly impossible to find lately. At least they were when I purchased a set back in July. A set of 6 cost me $510 with no core charge. A new set of 6 crossover tubes cost $251.70. At the time, Geno's Garage was the only place I could find who had them in stock and they only had 7 of each. The current cost of these injectors has risen to $588 but the crossover tube's price remains the same.

Fuel pressure gauge is a preventive thing.

Isn't the AD the one with the bypass check ball near the pump. If so it at least use to have a plastic ball with a spring and has been known to wear causing the fuel to siphon back from the engine to the tank causing hard starts. Or am I all wet and thinking of a different system.
