Getting to fixing my wifes cusomization of the bed side. Bed is off and I see I need some stuff.

Where should I be headed to find the following.

1. Single piece drive shaft. Been through too many carriers in the last 4 years. I am done with it. Last two carriers have only lasted 5k each and I have had the shaft balanced twice.

2. Dual exhaust set up. My pipes are rotted with huge holes on the top. Never saw it looking from the bottom.

3. Rear shocks. They are OEM with 270K. time to replace.

4. Centramatic balancers. Seen them in action. Want to try them with the 22.5 rubber I have.

Thanks in advance. May the work begin.

I'd recommend a single 5" exhaust. I believe mine is a magnaflow. It uses same hangers and path as OEM, and much better flowing. With a single exhaust manifold and turbo, there is really no advantage for a dual exhaust.

You can get the Centramatics directly from their website for the best price I could find. Those can be done anytime you have a wheel off, no need to have he bed of to install those.

Well I found 22.5 traction rubber at a good price on ebay.
Called centramatics and they directed me to Tow Brothers on amazon. 175 vs 215 from centramatic
Got shocks and other maint items coming from genos garage. They are getting high in price these days vs local parts house.

I always like the looks of dual. I know there is no functionality to it, just looks and sounds/smoke coming out each side. I don't understand the noise issue? Why would it be louder?

I'd stick with a single 4". 5" is more prone to resonating and not needed until you have a lot more power than stock.

Duals can also resonate more than a single 4"

It was tolerable and kinda neat when running the truck around empty, but hook it to a trailer and it was OMG loud....and I'm no cupcake....

It was an MBRP dual setup.

GDP vent relocation kit. You'll pick up 3-4 gallons. It should take 30 minutes max with the bed off.
No dice if you're in California of course. I got mine before the CARB whip came down. It's been in there for 5-7 years now.

I was looking at what appears to be the tank vent. There are two front and rear with a plastic barb fitting, but no hose on them.

When it stops raining I am going to take a better look and if it is what I think it is, install hose on them.

Be careful with that vent kit from GDP, sure it works but actually you are going to overfill the Tank with it, taking the expansion room for the fuel.

Means, fill it to the top and park it, you'll have fuel overspill as it heats up.
I've read that but in 10-11 yrs I've never experienced it. We have 100* here frequently anymore and just the drive from the station lowers my level enough to mitigate any issues.
My friend installed the kit too and hasn't had any issues either. Filling it up and letting it sit in high heat would do it.

Exactly, it is not fools proof to say so.
The operator needs to know what he's doin, and needs to be informed about that possible issue.
What GDP doesn't do.
So i had to.:D

The FD in front of the house because of Diesel running down the road is a real showstopper.
