The governor in IL is threatening to shut down the state again if the numbers do not show the state bending the curve down again. He has basically outlaw all indoor dining for now. But the cities and counties are resisting and not enforce his mandate.

Another thing that they can't be explained since basically public schools are closed to most students, with e-learning being the primary tool to prevent the spread of Covid19, they are having issues with Covid19 in the schools (per my daughter and daughter-in-law who are public school teacher, this is true). But the private schools in the state which are doing in person learning these schools are not experiencing any out break of COVID19 issues with students or staff. Go figure!

I wonder if private schools have to follow the same reporting procedures as public? Im guessing not.

Gov Mills mandated masks starting today, social distancing no longer applies...

I have highly irritated employees. May lose a couple over it...

Where would the irritated employees go if you lost them? I have seen people say things like that just not clear where they would go thats any different especially on a state wide mandate.

You're right... they go home. Seen it here where my BIL works. A lot to be said for having steady work and steady pay.

The most valuable one is multi-talented, he can jump in a Class 8 Truck and easily match the wage....and wind the damn mask out the window...

To survive in Maine you need to have several ways to make a living....

Top Gun Heavy Duty guys (both Parts People and Technicians) are extremely talented and hard to find....and can be as finicky as a thoroughbred race horse....

Well, my OCD kicked in. I stated the other day about putting off washing the van as it MAY rain the next few days. So my intention was to spray the hood and passenger side fender with the UV wax over the 476. Well I did that, then OCD. I have had this affliction since completely tearing down the road runner and restoring. Then taking it to shows and mostly coming home with first place trophies. So I had the 2 gallon garden sprayer with about a gallon of no rinse in it. Sprayed panels and dried with a Eagle micro fiber, took about a 1/2 hr. All cleaned up and ready for the rain. That garden sprayer routine works very well and started it Flagstaff, makes things go fast and I can stop anywhere along the line. I feel better now.

Dave,

I wouldn't have known without you saying something... COVID has turned my type A up a couple notches too. I'm on the middle of projects got to manage the type A as the body can't keep up with it.

Cheers, Ron

Do you have pictures posted somewhere? My first car was a '69 RR, 383 magnum, loved that thing!
Don't want to hijack Mike's thread but I don"t think he would mind one or two

Jim are public schools doing remote learning mostly by you? They are pretty well all doing in person here with shorter days or every other day at the high school. I think the way county numbers are they would shut schools down if the cases were higher in schools. I think there are 40 active cases out of maybe 2000 students. All of the cases have been pretty well isolated no major spreading in schools that I have heard of. Most restaurants down here have said they will not comply with governors restrictions.

Every school district is different near me, there are approximately 11 school districts within a 10-mile radius of my house. My daughter's, daughter goes to one district that is doing all e-learning using google meetings, if I remember correctly this is in Oswego, my town. Her daughter is at my house every Monday on line doing e-learning. Her son is in pre-K at a daycare center all day. Now she teaches in the West Aurora school district; I believe this is all e-learning also. But the East Aurora school district is doing hybrid learning, some going to school and some are doing e-learning. Same town but different school districts. My two sons’ children's go to different school districts one grand-daughter goes to all day school, this is near Ottawa Il. The other son's children do hybrid learning one child is in school all day (8th grade) his daughter goes to school twice a week and does e-learning three days a week (12th grade). But what is screwy about her schedule is she goes to school on a floating schedule every week is different. Her mom is a teacher in Oswego.

Now what really complicates things is that the teachers for all of these districts must be at school all day so, they can conduct class from them.

I have three teachers that live by me and they all teach in different school districts than their children are in. So, we hear constantly about how screwed up the state is and they just need to have a uniformed policy.

It’s spreading like wildfire here in Alaska....fewer hospitalizations are being reported and the only deaths are very compromised older folks. I just got back from kodiak and most everyone at the lodge I was at said they’ve had it and only had minor cold like symptoms. It’s doing what viruses do, becoming more transmittable and less severe.

For those that use a mask. Are you guys washing it everyday or do you have multiple sets? Just curious, because when I Raptor lined my truck, after about 30 mins of spraying sweat was pouring into my respirator.

I am required to wear a mask all day at work. I generally use one per day and wash them before wearing them again. I also wear N95's at times and those I will wear and then let it sit for a few days before wearing it again. I believe that I read somewhere that they can be reused a time or two.

I use a bandana that my wife washes every other day. My wife took a large red Ram scarf or handkerchief that was handed out at the Rally last year and put Velcro on the corners for me. This reminds me of the days when I was a kid and played cowboys and Indains, with the bandana on. I also use a throw away mask that we have purchased on Amazon. When the bandana is being cleaned.

I ask my wife if a could wear my sanding respirator from my wood shop which is a N100 rated but she said no way! LOL I know I would need to replace the filters every once in awhile and they are not cheap, if I did use the respirator.
